Pre-Season Screening

A pre-season screening assesses where a dancer may be more at risk for injury over the course of the season. It also helps to identify areas where the dancer can improve and excel.

Pre-season screening assesses:

  • Hypermobility

  • Posture

  • Joint Mobility

  • Muscle Strength

  • Dance Technique

  • Cardiovascular Endurance

Pointe Shoe Readiness Assessment

Not sure if you or your class is ready for pointe? A pre-pointe assessment helps to address whether a dancer is ready for pointe. A customized home exercise program is prescribed based on the results. After the dancer has had time to work on their exercises, they will be reassessed to determine readiness. This is a great assessment to do over the summer prior to the start of the season.

Pre-pointe assessment looks at:

  • Joint mobility

  • Muscle strength of the legs

  • Muscle strength of the core

  • Balance

  • Alignment

  • Ballet Technique

Assessments can be done individually or as a group. Please email us if you are interested in an on-site assessment for your group.
