Physiotherapy that finally makes you feel better not worse.

If you live in British Columbia, Canada:

If you live outside of British Columbia, Canada:

Hypermobility physiotherapy is for you if you are:

  • “double jointed”

  • flexible

  • former dancers, gymnasts, or figure skaters

  • been told by clinicians that you are hypermobile

  • Beighton score of 4 or more

  • Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder

  • Ehlers Danlos

  • Joint Hypermobility Syndrome

Drop the fear of getting injured. You don’t have to feel fragile or sensitive. You can be hypermobile, and feel strong and resilient. You can learn how to work with your bodies signals rather than always fighting against them.

What Makes Cathy Different?

As someone who lives with HSD, I have personally experienced many of the injuries and symptoms that you are experiencing. I am continuously taking additional courses in hypermobility, looking into available resources and looking for answers to your questions in the research. I integrate both entry-level safe exercises with heavier lifting. I focus on education and coaching so that you have all the tools you need so that you don’t have to attend physiotherapy forever.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Appointments can be done in-person or online.

  • I take your history and perform a physical exam to see what could be contributing to your symptoms throughout your body.

  • During physiotherapy sessions, I teach you how to control, stabilize, and strengthen your hypermobile joints while mobilizing your stiff joints.

  • I may perform Active Release Techniques in person or prescribe myofascial exercises online. These work to reduce muscle tone where appropriate.

  • I’ll coach you on some pain and nerve system management techniques to prevent future flare ups.

  • Afterwards you will get videos of any prescribed exercises sent to you through my online exercise software.

CONDITIONS I TREAT:

  • SI Joint

  • Subluxations and Dislocations (shoulder, knee, hip, etc).

  • Headaches

  • Neck stiffness and pain

  • Tingling, Numbness, or Nerve Pain

  • Plantar Fasciitis

  • Snapping Hip

  • Wrist Pain
